FORCE's first annual symposium on hereditary breast and ovarian
cancer was held February 10-11, 2006 at the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center & Research
Institute in Tampa, Florida. More than 200 people from 28 states, 5 countries
and 3 continents attended our conference on hereditary breast and ovarian
cancer.
The conference objective was to provide a balanced mix of information, networking, support, and fun. With this event, we made history—the first national conference devoted to hereditary breast and ovarian cancer.
Our stellar cast of speakers included respected physicians, international researchers, and women who graciously shared experiences and insights about living with hereditary cancer or high-risk status.
Feedback after the conference was positive: 92 percent of respondents rated it “outstanding” or “excellent;” 100 percent of respondents felt the conference met or exceeded their expectations.
